You can be both if you want to.
i usually interchange these terms. now i know that leader is goal-oriented while manger is task-oriented. #nice post..:D
both are coordinating with groups or an organizations.
both of them are helpful to the organizations....
yes, i agree how about if the managers or leader have no competencies to handle their subordinates or employee what will happen to the organizations?
syempre. the organizations are not effective and the goal they compose are inappropriate....

yeahhh.. your right ,,, Both managers and leaders understand that there is a collective condition, a Reality, that's unacceptable to a group of people.
first the managers and leaders initiated their goals or objective to their subordinates to avoid any conflict among the members.
